Directions

Alstonefield is almost in the centre of England. It is over 100miles(160km.) from the sea. It is 150 miles (240km.) from London, 36 miles(58km.) from Manchester, 80 miles (130km.) from Birmingham and 40 miles (65km.) from Sheffield.

It is best approached from Ashbourne from the South or from Buxton from the North using the A515. The route from the West via Leek is less easy and is over open moorland.
